It’s been about three years since the purge. So far I have only repurchased a few things which has kept me kinda minimal. When required, or even when not absolutely required, I will buy something. So far the only thing that I consider as being “stuff” that I will keep if I move is my DJI Mavic Pro drone. I try to not buy anything that I do not need. So, when I came upon the “one year challenge” I was intrigued, but would it really help me do beyond what I am doing already.
The one year challenge challenges you to not buy anything new for the next year. Now of course this would not include item that sustain life, such as food, medication, personal hygiene, and so on. What this includes are things that are considered as stuff.
For me, being a “kinda” minimalist, this would not be much of a challenge. What would the one year challenge do for you?
I don’t know if I could not buy anything for one year, but I might take a “kinda” one year challenge. It is said that life is short, so eat the ice cream and buy those shoes. Well, if you want to be fat, and have a closet full of shoes, then go for it.
If you struggled with this issue or can inspire others on this subject I would like to hear your story. Please comment below.
